New Ariana discoveryThursday, 27th April 2006 (3028 views) Ariana Resources has confirmed the possible bulk tonnage gold target that it expects from its Sindirgi Project in Turkey.A field team working for Galata Madencilik San, Ariana's Turkish subsidiary, completed a programme of systematic rock chip sampling at the Kiziltepe Prospect in the Sindirgi area of the European-Middle Eastern border state. It found peak gold grades of 7.05grammes per tonne and 16.2g/t from samples that coincided with vein material. Ariana now hopes to expand the rock chip sampling and will work towards a trenching and drilling programme to begin in the near future. This will allow the company to test the potential for a bulk tonnage mining operation, which Steven Pulton, chief executive of Ariana, said was "being defined". "In the meantime, our field team continues to discover new target areas across this highly prospective licence area," he concluded.
