iPod heads can now dress up their headphones with white gold and diamonds, as a new range of accessories is launched.

Mac@Work, the Italian company that owns the line Luxury Mac, says the clip-on designs are available in a variety of styles and cost from €660.

The add-ons include heart shaped diamonds set on white gold and a rose sapphire version will also be available for those wanting to spend a bit less.

iPod Hub has gone so far as to suggest that buying a piece of headphone jewellery could replace a gold and diamond engagement ring for some couples.

Users beware however, with the flick of a hand those headphones could soon belong to a mugger near you!
