Robex Resources has announced that it has discovered gold of a high grade following extensive work on 11 pits in West Mali.

The area is known as Wili Wili and is located within the Fandou zone in the south of the country.

Acquired by Robex last year, the property is situated on 2.8-kilometre long gold anomaly, with previous pit exploration having been carried out by the Mineral Research Bureau of the Malian government.

Investigations by Robex avoided directly sampling the quartz veins, but found that gradings improved the as the testing depth became greater.

Judging by the soil geochemistry, the company believes that the area may hold more anomalies and has planned further testing for confirmation.
