Persian Gold completes second stage of Iran projectTuesday, 25th July 2006 (2537 views) Persian Gold has announced that it has completed the second stage of its sampling work at the Chah-e-Zard Gold site located at Yazd in Iran.According to the results, some 344 out of a total 366 rock samples held positive indications of gold presence. This confirms the company's anticipations following investigations at the beginning of the year which yielded gradings of 21 grams per tonne of gold. Chairman John Teeling said of the findings: "These are good results and support the earlier results achieved by Persian Gold and the data supplied by our local partner. "The size of the mineralised zone, at 750m by 1250m, is large and, if the upcoming drilling programme confirms previous rock and soil sampling data, there is a good possibility of advancing this project towards a new substantial gold discovery." Persian Gold retains a 70 per cent interest in the property, located 350 miles south-east of Tehran, with the remainder under the control of a local firm.
