Tuesday, 25th July 2006 (3238 views) The latest high-end device in the Wi-Fi technology market, which uses gold-plated internal chips and plugs, is to go on sale in September. The Transporter, from US company Slim Devices, uses wireless audio streaming to play high-quality audio files taken from your PC or other device used for storing the music. The DAC chip, connected to the circuit board itself is described by the company as a "miracle chip" that, without a hint of hyperbole, will result in "the death of the CD player".
