Rocmec update from Russian Kid projectTuesday, 22nd August 2006 (2277 views) Rocmec has announced that it has made progress at its Rocmec1 project. The Rocmec1 (Russian Kid) property has seen sustained drilling work and the company now has constructed sufficient drilling holes to undertake thermal fragmentation every day. Block C development is also continuing and bulk tonnage retrieved from mineralisations will be taken to the Grenada mill to be processed in the next few weeks. Level 425 excavation work is continuing with regard to budgetary constraints. Large stockpiles of unprocessed tonnage are present on the site, ready to be processed. The mill is currently running at an output of about ten tonnes per hour, which is its expected capacity. The stockpiles will be put through the plant when it reaches its full Monday to Friday working rota and the company expect to start pouring gold by the end of August 2006. Mining of narrow minerlisations using the company's exclusive thermal fragmentation process should see the company become a mid-size producer over the coming years.
