The findings of Moto Goldmines at its eponymously-named site in the Democratic Republic of Congo have been confirmed by international consultant Snowden.

An independent audit of the resource estimates and exploration procedures put forward by Moto, beginning last year, has underlined the relative importance and significance of the project.

In its report, Snowden said it considered the resource estimates "to be an appropriate reflection of the Moto Gold project as it currently stands".

The company also concluded that the Moto resource was of a "large scale" and constituted a "robust mineralised zone" with a great deal of potential - news that is likely to please the mining company greatly.

Moto Goldmines says that it intends to implement most, if not all, of Snowden's recommendations to enhance sampling and preparation programmes at the site.

It is still unclear when the completed mining venture will begin practical operations, but Moto has intimated that it intends to press ahead with developing the site as quickly as possible now that it has an independent evaluation to support its own conclusions.
