Odyssey property undergoes resource estimateWednesday, 30th August 2006 (2650 views) Odyssey has reported that its Tavsan gold mine is currently being subjected to an independent resource estimate. The Tavsan property is located in western Turkey. Assay results from the final exploratory drill holes have been returned. The site contains an arc-like trend of gold-bearing jasperoid bodies that are exposed over a three kilometre length at surface. A reverse circulation drill programme outlined the lateral extent of surface and near-surface mineralisations and intercepts have been found in areas that have never been drilled before. The site used to be owned by an Australian company in the 1980s, before being taken over by Teck Cominco in 1997. All current and historical drill data will be incorporated in to the resource estimate, so as to enable a fully accurate and statistically viable result. The survey is being carried out by P&E Mining Consultants. This independent Canadian firm is made up of a team of internationally renowned geologists and mining engineers.
