Soloman Gold has announced promising results from its site in Australasia.

The Sutakiki project is located on the island of Guadalcanal in the Solomon Islands. Solomon Gold has reported high gold grades over wide areas.

Several veins were sampled and average grades returned from assays reached 7.34 grams per tonne of gold and 0.41 pct of copper.

The company is hoping to expand its operations at the mine after coming to an agreement with local landowners which will allow them access to the Kuma valley. The valley lies directly to the south of Sutakiki and to the east of Koloula.

This will give Solomon Gold access to a highly mineralised system which is believed to hold the Sutakiki site as well as the upper Koloula Valley. Numerous targets are contained with its 50 square kilometre boundaries.

Solomon Gold is in the process of contracting a new drilling company to undertake 5,000 metres of work in the Sutakiki Valley.
