San Gold has announced positive results from the latest drilling work at its site in Canada.

The Gabrielle zone is located to the west of the Rice Lake Gold mine, so that it stands between the mine and the Cartwright zone.

Drilling work at the two zones has proven the existence of a mineralised vein system in the San Antonio mine unit. The unit now stretches six kilometres east of the Rice Lake mine and 1.5 km to the west of it and it remains open in all directions.

Hole CW-06-77 intersected gold on two occasions. The first assay returned 13.5 grams per tonne of gold (g/t Au) over 2.6 metres and 9.7 g/t Au over 3.6 metres.

Several other positive results were collected, including ten g/t Au over 3.5 metres and 3.9 g/t Au over two metres.
