Currently working to put in place a sustainable standard throughout the jewellery supply chain, the council works to promote sustainability within the jewellery industry.

The original 39 members have been joined by 15 others, including manufacturers, distributors, traders, cutters and polishers and trade associations.

The other new members are: Aurafin LLC, Boucheron, Brown Goldsmiths & Company, Cendres et Metaux SA, Colormasters Gem Corp, Cunningham Fine Jewelry, DN Gems Corp, Helzberg Diamonds, Lazare Kaplan International, Leber Jeweler, Lux Bond & Green, Manufacturing Jewelers and Suppliers of America and Reis-Nichols.
