Exmin acquires new concessionsThursday, 28th September 2006 (2584 views) Exmin Resources has announced that three district scale concessions have come into its possession through staking in Mexico. The new concessions are all situated on the Sierre Madre gold belt in western Chihuahua and eastern Sonora. They cover a total area of 150,000 hectares, which can be added to the company's total present holdings of 251,000 hectares. The third concession can be found on an area of strong alteration north of the company's existing Maguarichic site. This mine is subject to an option agreement with Industrias Penoles. Executive vice president of exploration Craig Gibson commented: "The rational for covering this ground is to protect areas near our existing projects with potential to host mineralisation. "Over the past several months, several exploration companies have begun to enter the Sierra Madre region and have staked large concessions. "Therefore, we decided to cover the best prospective areas that may contain the extensions to the mineralisation that we have been exploring over the last two and a half years."
