Alexis announces results

Friday, 29th September 2006 (2551 views)

Alexis has announced results from the work it is carrying out at its site in Canada.

The Lac Herbin project is currently being subjected to underground delineation drilling, which will be completed by the end of October this year.

Results from beyond the western limits of the West E zone have returned very promising assays, detailing that the area is open to the west and at depth.

Very high grade assays have been taken from this area, including 167 grams per tonne of gold (g/t Au) over 2.6 metres, with an individual intersection of 626 g/t Au over 0.6 metres.

Additional results have been returned from a similar programme carried out at the Hangingwall and S1 zones. These include 53.28 g/t Au over 1.3 metres from the S1 zone and 40.8 g/t Au over 1.0 metres at the Hangingwall zone.

The company's president David Rigg commented: "Drill results from all of the gold zones at Lac Herbin continue to impress and appear to be improving as we carry our exploration drilling to the west and at depth.

"The potential to expand zones to depth and along strike is very good and continues to give us confidence that Lac Herbin is evolving into a growing asset for Alexis as we drive towards a production decision in early 2007."
