J-Pacific files technical report

Friday, 29th September 2006 (2694 views)

J-Pacific has announced that it has filed a technical report for its site in Canada.

The Montgolfier project is situated in the Casa Berardi region of Quebec, approximately 70 kilometres south-east of the town of Matagami. SRK Consulting from Toronto carried out the report, which is compliant with National Instrument 43-101 standards.

The site sits on the Casa Berardi structural zone and can be found near the Casa Berardi mine, owned by Aurizon, which contains over three million ounces of gold.

SRK Consulting reports that there are numerous structural and geographical similarities between the Aurizon project and the Montgolfier site. The Montgolfier has only been subjected to limited exploration, even though surface drilling identified gold mineralisation there in the late 80s.

Data acquired in 2005 by J-Pacific indicates that there are eight areas which constitute prime drilling targets at the site.

J-Pacific's president Nick Ferris commented: "We at J-Pacific are very pleased with the completion of this technical report demonstrating the great exploration potential of the Montgolfier project."
