Eurasian Minerals has announced encouraging exploration results from its recent exploration at projects in Haiti.

Two projects in particular, La Miel and La Mine, returned positive results with high host sulfidation epithermal systems with an enriched level of gold mineralisation.

One rock channel sample from La Miel measured 18 metres with a grading of three grams of gold per tonne. The property is very close to the Dominican Republic border and Eurasia has delineated a 15 square kilometre area.

The La Mine project is nearer the port city of Cap Haitien with geologic mapping and rock samples returning anomalous levels of gold plus silver and copper mineralisation.

The company is now moving forward with additional rock samples in order to define the areas of outcropping mineralisation. Surveys to define trenching targets are also being compiled.

Other projects currently being undertaken by Eurasia include the exploration of the Tethyan Metallogenic Belt in Serbia as well as the continuing work in Turkey and the Kyrgyz Republic.
