Frog's Leg 'hopping with success'The news feeds on this site are independently provided by Adfero Limited © and do not represent the views or opinions of the World Gold Council. Tuesday, 24th October 2006 (3227 views) La Mancha Resources, a new global gold producer based in Vancouver, has been running a significant drill program since the beginning of 2006 and has just proclaimed its results. The company owns 51 per cent of the Frog's Leg project in Western Australia's highly prospective Kunduna mining region. Underground mining operations are scheduled to begin in 2008 but open pit mining ended in 2005. Drilling discovered a mineralised interval of eight metres at 28 grams of gold per tonne including one metre at over 157 grams of gold per tonne. This warrants further attention according to the firm. La Mancha's view is of a "very bright future for the project" including the possible extension of Frog's Leg. The company also has two producing gold mines in Africa, over a million ounces resource and 30 exploration properties in four countries It also controls another mine in Western Australia called White Foil which is expected to be restarted in 2007 because its proximity to Frog's Leg facilitates greater operating efficiencies.
