Aurogin finish construction at El Sastre

Construction work undertaken by Aurogin Resources has been concluded at the El Sastre gold mine in Guatemala.

Initial gold production at the mine is planned to be 20,000 ounces per year and the first batch of gold resulting from the gold mine is expected in the fourth quarter of 2006.

The company has loaded an approximate total of 20,000 tonnes of ore onto its pads and as a result, leaching work took place on October 17th.

Vice president of engineering at Aurogin, Darren Koningen, remarked: "We have met our stated target of becoming a gold producer in 2006 and we are extremely pleased that we have achieved this on time and within our projected cost parameters."

Construction work included the following: the installation of electric supplies and water reticulation systems, construction of haulage roads and the plant area, as well as gaining the relevant permits to undertake mining operations at the property.

Aurogin Resources's El Sastre site comprises of four properties and the company claims that potentially, there is more than one million ounces of gold in this location.
