Drilling set to begin for Golconda

Monday, 20th November 2006 (2284 views)

Golconda Resources has announced its plans to embark upon a deep diamond drilling programme at the Ralston Valley Gold property in Nevada at the end of November.

Commencing on November 25th, the drilling work will focus on a zone consisting of silty limestone and heralds the first exploration at the area due to the fact that no hole has been made that is deeper than 600 feet at the claim.

The programme is a follow-up to work that took place back in 2004 and gold mineralisation at the Ralston Valley prospect has been found to occur in a Palaeozoic sequence of both siltstone and limestone.

Drilling will continue in January 2007 following the initial drill programme at the property that includes the Carlin Trend, the Toquima Range and Baxter Spring areas.

Golconda Resources is a Canadian company that has interests in Canada - Saskatchewan, British Columbia and Ontario and the US - Nevada and Alaska. The company explores and produces diamonds and platinum alongside gold.
