Wednesday, 22nd November 2006 (2975 views) ValGold Resources has announced its pleasure at adding another 16 diamond drill holes to those already completed at its Garrison gold project in Ontario. This latest drill programme brings the total drilling at the site to 20,750 metres since the company began work at the Garrison project in 2005 and puts the figure this year at 19,259 metres drilled. All but three of the holes were made at the JP and Garrcon West zones with the remaining ones completed at Garrcon's C zone and drilling is scheduled to continue early next year. Drill hole C06-07 at the C zone discovered a gold grade of 3.48 grams per tonne over a length of 13.5 metres and exploration work at the Garrcon West zone "returned some encouraging intersections" according to ValGold. Highlights of the Garrcon West drilling were drill holes G06-29, G06-34 and G06-36 which yielded a grade of 3.75 grams per tonne over four metres, 2.38 grams per tonne over six metres and 1.18 grams per tonne of gold over a distance of 15 metres, respectively. Canada-based ValGold Resources also operates the Tower Mountain gold property in Ontario alongside the Garrison project and the company was incorporated in 1987.
