The Isis puzzle - which enables its owner to crack a combination in order to potentially find gold and silver coins - has now sold over 2,000 across the world.

Those who purchase the Isis attempt to decipher a combination from millions of possibilities which will allow them to obtain a key that is numbered and fits the lock of a golden pyramid hidden somewhere in the UK.

Once the pyramid has been located, it can be opened to discover a gold coin worth £500 as well as silver coins which are worth £20 a piece.

According to Dave Thomas, sales and marketing director at Sonicwarp: "The Isis is the hardest puzzle in the world."

The Isis has been launched as the initial puzzle in a series of five whereby a new one will be introduced every year until 2009.

So far, the Isis is proving to be quite difficult with owners of the puzzle as only 23 people have been able to crack the combination.
