If you are looking for the ultimate in golden Christmas presents this year then perhaps phone manufacturer Nokia has designed the perfect gift.

For those intent on luxury, the limited edition gold and diamond Nokia 8800 Sirocco comes gold-plated with 24-carats of the precious metal.

It was created by Sayn Design and has 100 megabytes of on-board memory in addition to an integrated music player. Furthermore it has a two megapixel camera.

Only 1,000 of the Sirocco handsets are being produced to ensure exclusivity.

The phone also features a signature soundtrack which was composed by Brian Eno, considered the "father of ambient music" and star of 70s glam band Roxy Music.

Nokia said: "The Nokia 8800 Sirocco Edition draws its name from the powerful desert-born wind that originates in the Sahara when a warm, dry air mass collides with the cooler, maritime air of the Mediterranean.

"The striking organic shape of the Nokia 8800 Sirocco Edition references the inherent strength of the human form."
