Thursday, 21st December 2006 (6473 views) Jewellery house Damas has introduced its Laurentia brand of gold jewellery, comprising earrings, necklaces, rings, bangles and bracelets, in the Qatari market.Laurentia decides between eight and ten different collections per year before settling on the final design which is fashioned from 18-carat gold, whether it be yellow, pink or white varieties of the precious metal. As well as the gold, the Laurentia brand is also well-known for being adorned with a smattering of precious and semi-precious stones. "Laurentia's jewellery, thanks to its own characteristic of handmade craftsmanship and research of new and alternative production techniques, is very different from the other brands that we have in the market," the Gulf Times reported Damas's deputy managing director Tamjid Abdullah as saying. Damas was established back in 1907 and stores can now be found across the world in places such as the US, India, Lebanon, Jordan and Bahrain to name but a few. It stocks brands including Faberge, Omega, Chanel and Carrera Y Carrera.
