Royal Standard Minerals provides Goldwedge update

Friday, 22nd December 2006 (2625 views)

A progress update has been released by Royal Standard Minerals from its Goldwedge project, located in Nye County, Nevada.

At present, the mining company is fitting a concrete floor and two ball mills so that gold recoveries will become more efficient at the site.

Metcon Labs in Tucson, Arizona, has recently tested gold bearing material and found that through both flotation and gravity treatment gold was 95.76 per cent while silver was 95.64 per cent with a nominal minus 100 mesh grind.

Modification work on Royal Standard Minerals' regrinding circuit began in November of this year and drilling work did not commence during either October or November because of there not being a drill available and adverse weather conditions.

In 2005, Nevada made up 83 per cent of the entire gold production in the US and Royal Standard Mineral says on its website that it is committed to "bringing our company into the ranks of Nevada gold producers".
