Monday, 22nd January 2007 (3156 views) Aurogin Resources has announced strong results from its recently completed drill programme at the El Arenal gold zone in Guatemala.The company said that gold mineralisation of "sizeable thickness and grade" was intersected in ten of the eleven drill holes that were drilled over an area 500 metres by 100 metres Neil Gow, vice president of exploration at Aurogin Resources said: "We are very pleased with these latest results because they confirm and extend the previous testing by Radius and Goldfields. "Using this data, Aurogin intends to prepare a National Instrument 43-101 compliant mineral resource estimate for the El Arenal zone as soon as possible." The El Arenal zone is one of four mineralised gold zones on the company's El Sastre project, which lies 37 kilometres northeast of Guatemala City. The El Sastre Main zone, the Lupita zone and the Bridge zone also lie within the project. Together the four zones are believed to have more than one million ounces of gold potential.
