Alturus Minerals Corporation has just announced the results form its final 15 drill holes at the ongoing project of Cerro Huilacollo in southern Peru.

As part of the phase one stage of the project at this site, some 20 holes covering an area of 3,181 metres have been made with the results of the first five holes issued in November 1006 and the final 15 holes' data just announced today.

The best intersection was an 82 metre-long stretch with a grade of 1.17 grams of gold per tonne and 6.51 grams of silver per tonne and this started at surface.

Miguel Cardozo, the president and chief executive at Alturus, said: "We are very encouraged by the strong gold and silver assay results from most of the diamond drill holes at Cerro Andamarca."

This is the other target with the firm run nearby to Huilacollo. There, latest holes have confirmed the existence of strong gold mineralisation including a gold-silver zone exceeding 400 metres by 200 metres.

A phase two drilling programme will now commence at the sites and will attempt to extend the size of the known gold-silver zone and to explore the new target areas.
