Bonaventure's drilling yields 'pleasing' results

Tuesday, 30th January 2007 (2552 views)

Bonaventure Enterprises has declared that it is "pleased" to announce the successful drilling work results obtained from its phase one programme at Squaw Creek, Nevada.

A total of 4,802 feet was drilled following three deep angle reverse circulation and core holes at the site and all of the structures encountered were found to have anomalous gold traces.

Evidence points to the possible improvement of gold grades as drilling work gets deeper. This was due to the fact that the 1.50 grams per tonne of gold found at the property was discovered at the deepest structure which was between 1315 and 1320 feet.

Within the weak fracturing area of Squaw Creek, it was also the deepest structure that intersected the most gold with a grade of 0.22 grams per tonne found between 1,640 and 1,645.

The second phase of the drilling programme is set to commence this summer and will focus on targeting the north-south trend. Among the work that is planned during the summer months is the testing of deeper areas along with additional holes alongside the trend.
