Acadian announces Canada resultsTuesday, 20th February 2007 (2315 views) Acadian Gold Corporation has announced favourable results from a five hole diamond drilling programme in Nova Scotia in Canada. The Lake Catcha property has seen a 616 metre programme designed to confirm the potential of the site for a bulk tonnage gold deposit. This is the first time that wide intervals of gold mineralisation have been found at the property, according to the firm. Some highlights from the drilling include a 44 metre intersection with a grade of 0.46 grams of gold per tonne and a 53 metre length at a grade of 0.61 grams of gold per tonne. Will Felderhof, the president and chief executive officer at Acadian, said: "We are very much encouraged by the results of these initial drill holes, and specifically by one drill hole which intersected a wide interval of disseminated style gold mineralization albeit low grade." He added these sorts of results are exactly what we the firm is looking for on this property and it provides a strong starting point for a future drilling programme. Acadian is also focused on developing zinc properties in Atlantic Canada.
