Kossa results are "very encouraging"

Wednesday, 21st February 2007 (2248 views)

Assay results have been released from Orezone Resources' Kossa permit in Niger, West Africa and have been described as "very encouraging".

This latest round of drilling is the second phase to have taken place at the Kossa site and it involved 2,293 metres worth of reverse circulation drilling along strike.

It is along the 1,400-metre long strike length where, under "extensive sand cover", the mining company encountered gold mineralisation in most of the drill holes completed.

Mr. Ron Little, president and CEO, commented: "The next round of drilling will be focused on testing the widths and limits of the zone in order to make a decision on resource drilling."

Highlights of the second phase of drilling are the several areas that intersected a gold grade of up to three grams per tonne and in the wake of receiving these results, Orezone Resources has announced an intention to launch follow-up drilling in an attempt to extend the area of mineralisation.
