Fayolle's resources released by Typhoon

Wednesday, 21st February 2007 (2261 views)

Similarities have been found between resource estimates just received by Typhoon Exploration and known mineralised system in both Ontario and Quebec.

The new mineral resource grade is 39,397 ounces at 1.4 grams per tonne in terms of indicated gold at the Fayolle property, which is located in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec.

Drilling work is set to continue at the property as Typhoon Exploration aims to extend the amount of gold mineralisation, specifically at Aiguebelle-Goldfields, near to Fayolle.

Tonnage could be increased further should the two gold mineralisations be twinned and this is to form the underlying basis for further drilling.

Inferred resources at Fayolle were found to be in excess of 148,609 ounces at 0.7 grams per tonne, which have been found to be similar to Osisko Exploration's Canadian-Malartic project, according to Typhoon.

Last March, Typhoon Exploration entered into an agreement with Agnico-Eagle to acquire a 51 per cent interest in Aiguebelle-Goldfields which is situated due west to the Fayolle property.
