Thursday, 22nd February 2007 (3112 views) "High grade intersections" have been reported at Lake Shore Gold's Vogel property in Ontario, according to the company's president. The property on the Bell Creek-Hoyle Pond gold trend, Timmins, was found to have returned 106.90 grams of gold per tonne over two metres as well as 18.64 grams per tonne over 1.2 metres. Brian Booth, Lake Shore Gold president said that the recent acquirement agreement over the Bell Creek mine and mill complex means that the company now has over 2.4 kilometres stratigraphy that could further enhance Lake Shore Gold's resources. "These new high grade intersections clearly demonstrate the excellent potential for discovering new gold mineralization on the Vogel Property and our adjoining Schumacher - Bell Creek mine properties," said Mr Booth. This latest drill campaign comprised ten holes in the northern section of the Vogel property in an area that had previously been identified as potentially the host of both horizontal and vertical gold veins. Lake Shore Gold has also announced that drilling work will carry on at Timmins West and the focus of this programme is to expand a vein zone that is displaying high grades.
