Sunridge issues 22 new drill results

Thursday, 22nd March 2007 (2171 views)

Sunridge Gold Corporation has issued its latest results from 22 new drill holes to the international gold community.

All these holes were made at the company's Emba Derho gold deposit which also contains zinc and copper and were made along a 950 metre-long strike length. Widths of massive sulphide mineralisation even managed to reach 100 metres in places.

Michael Hopley, the president and chief executive of the firm, said: "Drill results such as these continue to show Emba Derho to be a very large zinc/copper/gold VMS deposit and potentially the most valuable discovery on the Asmara Project to date."

He carried on to explain that based on these drilling results, the firm is accelerating metallurgical and environmental studies on the project as well as starting an internal resource estimate.

The deposit is a 12 kilometre drive from Asmara and mineralisation extends over 400 metres wide and 350 metres at depth.

One highlight from the 22 results is a 34.45 metre stretch with an average grade of 1.37 grams per tonne of gold.
