Lateegra ready for Auripamba first phase

Friday, 23rd March 2007 (2180 views)

Phase one of exploration work is all set to begin at Lateegra Gold's Auripamba East and West properties and good results from this will pave the way for more "aggressive" programmes, the company has declared.

Both of the concessions at Auripamba are located within a "highly prospective" area that has yielded trenching results for Salazar Resources of 11.2 grams of gold per tonne over 17 metres, among others.

A regional stream sediment survey will be conducted as the first element of the first phase of exploration, which will then be followed by mapping and sampling which will focus on previously discovered mineralised zones.

The properties can be found in the Bolivar, Guayas and Los Rios provinces in Ecuador, and combined they cover an area of some 23,450 hectares.

Aside from its commitment to the Auripamba East and West properties, Lateegra Gold has recently announced its joint acquisition of claims at Efyza 2, which are situated adjacent to the mining company's existing concession, M10, in the Pichincha Province, Ecuador.
