Greystar Resources has reported its latest drill results from work on a project in the north-east of Colombia.

The Angostura gold and silver resource is a multi-million ounce deposit which is wholly owned by the firm. High grades have already been found within two areas within the mine.

Grades of 32.5 grams of gold per tonne over two metres and 7.62 grams of gold per tonne over 3.7 metres have been found at the Veta de Barro and Veto de Barro East areas, all within a broad zone of mineralisation which is called the Cloud One bulk structure.

Frederick Felder, the executive vice president of Greystar Resources, said: "The results from Los Laches-La Alta Este area in particular have significant economic implications by indicating the prospects for improving the projected high wall section to the east of the envisioned main pit in La Alta, as well as enhancing the stability of the proposed pit walls."

He added that the results from the Veta de Barro and Veta de Barro East areas are continuing to confirm the width and grade of the bulk structures in those sections of the resource.
