Strike extended at San Domingos

Thursday, 19th April 2007 (2203 views)

Drilling work had a positive outcome for Aurora Gold recently as it managed to extend the strike length at its San Domingos property in the state of Para, Brazil.

It was exploration on the Molly Occurrence that resulted in more than a 100 metres extension of the strike length that was already 300 metres in length.

"Significant alteration and mineralisation" is how Aurora Gold has described the results obtained from three drill sections at the property. Highlights of these drills were 5.44 metres at 1.4 grams per tonne from 53.8 metres as well as 3.2 grams per tonne over 1.88 metres from 66.4 metres.

Aurora is currently embarking upon resource modelling work and as far as the Molly prospect is concerned, pre-feasibility studies are also underway at present too.

A total of seven exploration properties are owned by Aurora in the Tapajos gold province in the state of Para by Aurora and it is here that the company is focused on exploring and developing.
