Rusoro pleased in Venezuela

Thursday, 19th April 2007 (2202 views)

Rusoro Mining has provided the gold world with an update of its progress in a Venezuelan project.

The Elisa and Cristina resources are both located in the Bolivar state of the country and are collectively known as the Incredible Six gold project.

Very positive results have been coming back from drilling work and a significant new structure has been found to connect Elisa to Cristina. Over 80,000 metres of the proposed and planned 220,000 metres has been completed already.

Some 22,000 metres are being worked on every month and one highlight so far is a grade of 6.01 grams of gold per tonne over 46 metres.

This brings the weighted average of this lower zone to 3.44 grams of gold per tonne over 129.6 metres.

Elisa is where the potential largely lies and a highlight from this zone is a 4.7 metre stretch with a grade of 3.07 grams of gold per tonne up to 465,000 ounces indicated resource.
