Gold iPod is the latest fashion accessoryMonday, 23rd April 2007 (3555 views) You've got the gold chain, the gold signet ring, the gold phone but what colour is your iPod?If the answer isn't gold then it soon will be because Apple, who manufacture the popular music player, has given London entrepreneur Alexander Amosu the task of making a golden special edition of the jukebox. Though it is actually gold plated, it does look the part and is a whopping 24-carat gold veneered masterpiece which still contains all the usual gadgetry which iPod is famed for. With 800 gigabytes of memory it will cost £3,999 and will have a mirror finish so that it is good for use as a travelling mirror. A Nano version, which is smaller and more compact but with less memory, is also due out at some point. Mr Amosu said: "To have an exclusive phone that cost more than anyone else is like having a Bentley rather than Ford, the type of phone you have speaks allot (sic) about your lifestyle and ambition. "That is why celebrities, footballers, actors and millionaires get their phone from me," he added.
