Oro Gold finishes follow-up work

Thursday, 26th April 2007 (2280 views)

Follow-up drilling at Oro Gold resources' San Isidro property has reached its finale, while the mining company is currently embarking on further exploration.

A total of four diamond drill holes have been completed at the San Isidro property but the assay results are still to be ascertained for these and Oro has also announced that zones have been expanded following the drilling to the tune of 550 metres.

Additionally, the company has declared that ground magnetic surveys as well as mapping have been completed. These have resulted in the potential for the strike being extended to more than 1.3 kilometres.

According to Oro Gold Resources: "This round of drilling confirms the lateral continuity of the quartz stockwork vein zones encountered in the first round of drilling, for an additional 200 metres along strike."

Oro Gold Resources' immediate plans will focus on continuing exploration at the San Isidro property and specifically, on extending strike in the zones that have only just been identified southeast in relation to the main zone.
