Exeter poised to begin drillingFriday, 27th April 2007 (2198 views) Exeter Resource Corporation has announced the receipt of all requested environmental permits for its planned drilling programmes in Argentina. The company wants to begin production at its Don Sixto gold project which is in the Mendoza part of the country and these permits cover 80,000 metres of drilling, including exploratory work of some high-grade mineralised areas. Independent resource estimates for the site are in the final stages of being confirmed but were originally estimated in mid-2005 as 300,000 ounces indicated plus 590,000 ounces inferred. This was only based on 21,000 metres of drilling. Now five extra drills are being employed at the site and this means an additional 40,000 metes will be drilled. There are four main mineralised zones at Don Sixto and these are Cuello, Luna, Mandibulla and Ojo with all ready for expansion. New geological models show that there is potential at each site for higher grade gold to be found. Exeter is a Canadian firm mainly focusing on sites in South America.
