Minco receives 'exciting' resultsTuesday, 22nd May 2007 (2100 views) New assay results gained by Minco Gold from its wholly-owned Gold Bull Mountain project have been described as 'exciting' by the firm's president and chief executive officer.A total of 40 channel samples were made during exploration at the Chinese site, which is only six kilometres away from the historic gold mine at Xiangxi. Predominantly, gold mineralisation can be found within the proterozoic sediment rocks at Gold Bull Mountain and to date, four gold zones have been discovered along the strike length. Minco Gold's Dr Ken Cai, remarked: "The significant 'Nugget Effect' returns a wide range of values and makes results difficult to reproduce. "For this reason, we've chosen to suspend drilling and expanded our cross cutting and drifting programme to provide a more accurate representation of the mineralised zones. Minco Gold is excited by the results to date and is working aggressively to advance the project." Results gained from the recent exploration work include 158.79 grams of gold per tonne to the much smaller yield of 0.01 grams per tonne, due to the Nugget Effect.
