Thursday, 31st May 2007 (2293 views)

Private resources developer Core Resources has signed a preliminary agreement for the acquisition of rights to three major hard rock claims in Arizona, it has been revealed.

The claims to be acquired by Core Resources are in the historic gold strike area of Wickenburg and are the Vulture, Red Cloud, and the Red Rock.

Vulture Mine was discovered by Austrian Henry Wickenburg in 1864 and continued to be in use throughout the nineteenth and the first half of the twentieth century.

A total gold production of 360,000 ounces has been reportedly produced from mining the higher grade slopes and more than $200 million (£101 million) in gold has been dug out of the mine since its discovery.

Core Resources has engaged in projects in relation to gold and other precious metals as well as base metals, coal and bulk minerals and has involvement in exploration, financing, development and production.
