Supermodel teams up with gold jewellerTuesday, 19th June 2007 (3440 views) Christy Turlington Burns has joined forces with gold jewellery designer Roberto Coin to front the company's promotions.Turlington is also set to help Roberto Coin promote YouthAIDS, an education and prevention initiative aiming to stop the spread of HIV/Aids, of which the jeweller is a partner. According to Jewellery Weblog, five per cent of net proceeds of the jewellery pieces featured in the Turlington advertising campaign will be donated to YouthAIDS by Roberto Coin. "YouthAIDS is proud to partner with a visionary such as Roberto Coin and fashion icon Christy Turlington. Roberto's sense of design extends well beyond jewellery to helping others," Kate Roberts founder of YouthAIDS said, according to the weblog. Roberto Coin designed a gold and diamond charm bracelet, the YouthAIDS Bracelet, upon joining the foundation and creates limited hyphen?edition charms for the bracelet annually. The jeweller has also created a bag entirely woven in 18-carat gold thread with a diamond and gold monogrammed charm attached.
