Confirmed mineralisation at Banora prospect

Wednesday, 20th June 2007 (2096 views)

Crew Gold Corporation has reported positive drilling results and confirmed mineralisation from its Banora resource.

According to Crew Gold, most of the holes from recent drilling have confirmed the previously-reported grades which suggested a probable reserve of 0.51 million tonnes at 3.8 grammes of gold per tonne (g/t) taken from an indicated resource of 1.18 million tonnes at 3.1 g/t.

It has been estimated that roughly 35-40,000 tonnes at 20 g/t has been mined and processed from the Banora resource.

Recent drill results at Lero Karta gold mine have also revealed that it currently contains 50 per cent of the measured and indicated resource and 56 per cent of the reserve at the Lefa Gold Mine.

"With these results from Banora and Lero Karta, together with those recently released for Siguirini and the ongoing upgrade of the Lefa plant, the company is confident that a major part of the future organic production growth will come from Lefa," commented Jan Vestrum president of Crew Gold.
