Star of Stan Lee's US television show Who Wants to be a Superhero Ivan Wilzig - better known to his fans as Mr Mitzvah - has thrown a gold-themed party to celebrate the second series of the reality series.

Former investment banker, producer and current gold-cape wearing hero Wilzig held the party at his castle in the Hamptons.

According to TMZ, the mansion was filled with gold furniture, a gold basketball hoop and a 24-carat gold swimming pool.

"Many guests arrived in costume, but for those who didn't, Ivan employed a gaggle of little people who stood handing out shiny blue or red capes. When those ran out, they handed out yarmulkes emblazoned with the host's name in gold letters," Radar reports.

Mr Mitzvah's - a multi-millionaire - superhero mission is to save the lives of children using his Star of David ping-pong paddle and while Superman's weakness is Kryptonite Mr Mitzvah's downfall is pork.
