Gold update from Entree

Thursday, 23rd August 2007 (1956 views)

Precious mineral exploration company Entrée Gold has given an update on its corporate activities.

According to Entree, drilling at its Lookout Hill project began in May with a total of eight holes of 4,760 metres being tested. Drilling has encountered Devonian age rocks, which have hosted gold mineralisation at Oyu Tolgoi.

Meanwhile, the company has engaged in a check of targets in the Arizona and New Mexico region and intends to follow up airborne evaluation of the areas with ground geophysical surveys in September 2007.

At the joint Entree-Ivanhoe agreement area to the north and south of the company's Oyu Tolgoi mining licence, drilling has been taking place, with gold mineralisation encountered in the region.

"The drilling is widely spaced and numerous faults occur within the host sequence, hence geological correlations between holes and section lines are uncertain. Full results will be reported when complete assay information and geological interpretation has been received from Ivanhoe, the project operator," Entree notes.

Entree Gold is a resource company with gold prospects in the southern part of Mongolia and south-eastern Arizona.
