Gold mining venture Eaglecrest Explorations has announced the completion of its second highest-grade shipment of gold concentrate in its history.

Eaglecrest shipped 1.25 tonnes of gold concentrate from its San Simon project bulk sampling mill in northeast Bolivia.

The concentrate contained roughly 202 ounces of gold with a gold grade of 161.6 ounces per tonne and was taken from bulk samples taken as part of its underground bulk sampling programme.

"The continually high gold grades of our concentrate point to the success of our bulk sampling program and indicate that we are sampling a higher-grade portion of the L463 gold shoot," commented Eaglecrest president Hans Rasmussen.

Eaglecrest recently reported "exceptional results" from its Dona Amelia Zone at San Simon.

Earlier this year, the company recovered samples of ten grammes of gold over 11.7 metres at the Dona Amelia Zone, its highest grade bulk sample to that point.
