Gold intersects announced by X-OreThursday, 30th August 2007 (1990 views) Mineral exploration company X-Ore Resources has announced results from the drill programme recently undertaken on the Quebec-located Croinor project. The programme was carried out by First Gold Exploration, which optioned the property through an agreement with X-Ore that was revealed in May. Ten 500-metre holes were drilled during the programme that started in June and six of the ten have now been completed, with assays from five. The company has revealed that hole 334, the most westerly, has returned the most positive results to date. X-Ore has said that "three significant mineralised intervals" were yielded by drilling at hole 334, with potential for gold mineralisation below the 200-metre mark also noted. First Gold is also planning to add a further four drill holes to the ten and has completed a $250,000 (£124,500) financing programme to provide for this. X-Ore Resources owns three mining properties in Mexico in addition to 13 mineral properties in Canada, according to the firm's website.
