Jaguar to highlight "exceptional exploration potential" in Brazil

Thursday, 18th October 2007 (2867 views)

Gold production analysts are expected to take notice of the "exceptional exploration potential" in Brazil as Jaguar Mining plans to host a site tour of its facilities in the country, the company stated.

In anticipation of its Brazilian tour, the company released an updated version of its performance in the third quarter, highlighting an increase of gold production over last year's figures, as well as an increase of gold metallurgical recovery during optimisation of its Turmalina project to 90 per cent.

Total gold production at the Turmalina project is expected to reach 51,500 ounces by the end of 2007, the company said.

President and chief executive of Jaguar Mining, Daniel Titcomb, said that the company's two greatest assets are its employees and the continued potential for exploration at its Brazilian properties.

"With the start of our recently announced 'Go-Deep' drill program at Turmalina, Pilar and Roca Grande … our exploration and operating teams remain excited about our prospects," he said.

The company currently holds 72,000 acres of land on gold properties in the Iron Quadrangle area of Brazil.
