Luiri Gold extends mineralisationTuesday, 23rd October 2007 (1896 views) New gold intersections have extended the total gold mineralisation at Luiri Gold's Matala and Dunrobin deposits, according to the company.A diamond core drilling programme at the two deposits is set to wrap up a month ahead of schedule because of a decision to use two available diamond rigs simultaneously on the project. Assay results for four of the first six drill holes completed at the site have shown positive mineralised intersections, which the company said supports the potential to extend resources at both deposits. Some 23 holes have been drilled at the site thus far, completing a total of 6,946 metres of the planned 8,000 metres of drilling on the two deposits. Further drilling at Matala and Dunrobin will be focused on the extension of resources at both deposits, as well as upgrading the gold resource classifications on the site and defining additional advanced targets for exploratory drilling, according to Luiri Gold. The deposits are located in the company's Luiri Hill project, situated in Zambia, where a 4,159-metre reverse-circulation and diamond drilling programme was carried out in March 2007.
