Exploration efforts continue at Moonlight

Friday, 26th October 2007 (1997 views)

A reverse-circulation drilling programme has been resumed at the Moonlight gold property in the US state of Nevada, according to Terraco Gold.

The company announced that it has enlisted the Eklund Drilling Company to complete Phase One drilling on the property, following a pause in operations after five initial drill holes were completed at the site by O'Keefe Drilling last month.

Assay results are pending for samples from the first five holes, which represent the beginning of a 20,000-foot drilling programme based on previous sampling and mapping efforts on the Moonlight property.

Situated 21 miles north-east of the town of Lovelock in Pershing County, the Moonlight property is located five miles north of the Rochester mining property, which has a historic gold production record of over one million ounces of gold.

The company also holds the Bonanza-Golden Eagle mining property in La Paz County, Arizona, where it is working to explore and expand known mineralisation.
