A recently completed drilling programme on the Main Discovery Zone (MDZ) at Sidace Lake in Ontario, Canada, has returned significant gold mineralisation, Planet Exploration has announced.

The latest operation included 12 holes drilled over a length of 5,500 metres on the MDZ and focused on pattern drilling to investigate the resource potential of the zone, plus an additional eight holes drilled on the site's Upper Duck Zone.

Holes drilled on the MDZ indicate that there is a continued presence of significant gold mineralisation at debt in the zone.

Assay results for the second set of drilling at the Upper Duck Zone are pending and their analysis will mark a break from drilling on the site until it recommences in the winter months when the ground is frozen.

Based in Calgary, Alberta, Planet Exploration is currently focused on expansion and development in the Red Lake region, with a second project also underway in Mongolia.
